One to One Befriending

Young people are matched with a suitable befriender with whom they will meet with every two weeks for a few of hours.

 

Together they discuss and agree activities they will undertake such as going to the cinema, café, the beach or local activity centres. They may also choose to attend Project group outings. Our office premises in Ayr and local community organisations are also used for one to one and group activities.

Matches last from 6 months to 2 years and regular reviews are carried out by the Project staff to ensure that the young people are getting the most from their befriending relationship.
